My first twenties

Born in 2003, I grew up in Xi’an, the city with a long history located in northwestern China, which once served as the capital for 13 ancient dynasties. I lived there throughout my childhood until I left for university in Wuhan at the age of eighteen.

Almost without attending kindergarten (only one month experience in a bilingual school) , I learned to read and do basic math at home with my grandmother. I then enrolled directly in a local private primary school, where I spent some of the happiest years of my childhood. At the age of 12, I was admitted to the best middle school in Northwestern China, where I completed both junior and senior high school. Those years were marked by academic pressure and intense competition—I experienced moments of success as well as setbacks. Although I initially planned to study mathematics in college, I eventually developed a strong interest in economics and have since received training in economic research during my undergraduate studies.

As a child, I rarely traveled. The only trip I took before adulthood was to Shanghai after graduating from primary school, so I had visited very few cities. During university, thanks to academic conferences and training programs, I had the opportunity to visit Beijing, Shanghai and Harbin (although I must admit it was just a tour around the campuses). With that in mind, I plan to travel more during my final year of leisure before beginning graduate school, and I will update my travel notes if new experiences arise.
